Nurse's Office

From The School Nurse: As you may have seen on the news, health officials are reporting widespread cases of the flu, causing significant illness in some cases. Although we are not experiencing large numbers of flu here at school, it’s always better to be proactive and focus of prevention.

If your child develops flu-like symptoms, please keep them home from school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medications.

It is not too late to receive the flu shot! If your child has not yet received the flu vaccine this season we urge you to contact your primary care office and schedule an appointment as soon as possible!

The CDC has a wealth of great information regarding the flu and steps that you can take. Please check out their web site at www.cdc.gov/flu.
